The ADHD Project

Storyteller Carlyn Rhamey shares the trials and triumphs of growing up a little bit “Special” and embracing what makes us different. The ADHD Project is an intimate and honest journey exploring ADHD and celebrating neurodiversity. Carlyn invites you into her world of chaos, creativity and combat with her mind.

The ADHD Project has been performed at Fringe Festivals across Canada, winning numerous awards including the 2019 David Seguin Memorial Award for Accessibility in the Arts at the Toronto Fringe, the 2019 Best of Venue Award at the Saskatoon Fringe, Best Actress in a Play or Musical at the Edmonton BroadwayWorld Awards, and the 2017 Emerging Artist Award at the Ottawa Fringe.

The ADHD Project was performed in the 2019 National AccessAbility Week, CADDAC 11th Annual ADHD Conference and the 2019 Innovations in Practice: Western Canadian Conference on Developmental Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder including Mental Health in Children and Adults. The ADHD Project currently tours Ontario schools for Grades 4-12 with Prologue to the Performing Arts.

Have you ever had that dream where you’re in your underwear in public… except it’s real life and you can never wake up? A “comedy of errors” full of awkward and humiliating encounters, as Carlyn navigates through life, trying to “adult.” Travelling in Ireland and Scotland in search of identity, adventure but mostly just her dignity, everyone has a story! 

Saor has been performed at multiple Fringe Festivals across Canada, winning Best of Venue at the Hamilton Fringe in 2016 and a Brickeden Award Nominee for Best Solo Show in 2017.
